Is PSI Seminars a religion? Is it compatible with my religious beliefs?

As PSI Seminars founder Thomas D. Willhite wrote in Living Synergistically:

PSI is not a religion; therefore, it cannot be in conflict with any religious beliefs. PSI is a vehicle, which can be used by each individual to get from where they are to where they want to be…to create peace of mind, liberty, love, and wisdom in their lives.

PSI Seminars is not a religion. We are not affiliated with any particular religion or denomination, nor do we advocate any particular theology or doctrine. We respect each individual’s personal religious choice and spiritual path.

That said, we do believe that humans are spiritual beings, and that the ongoing practice of spirituality is one of the essential elements to happiness and success. We also believe there are certain universal truths, common to all the great religious traditions, that are also essential to living a better life, such as the Law of Reciprocity (aka “The Golden Rule”), the unity of all mankind, and the idea that you are fundamentally in charge of your own destiny.

Our teachings are compatible and complementary to both the mainstream and mystical teachings of all the major religious traditions, as well as to the growing number of Americans who identify themselves as “spiritual but not religious”. Only you can really know what will work for you — we just want you to know our position in advance so that you can make a fully informed decision.
